IS IT REALLY PERMANENT ?
Permanent makeup (PMU) is basically a type of tattooing procedure, but unlike tattoo's which use 'ink' PMU is NOT done with ink but with specially formulated pigments designed specifically for the delicate skin on the face, eye and lip areas to create a more realistic and natural look.
Brows and lips may require refreshing anywhere from one to four or five years as which point a touch up appointment can be made. Eyeliner on the other hand can last much longer.
DOES IT HURT ?
Though every one is different, topical anesthetics in the form of creams and gels are used before and during the procedure to numb the areas keeping you as comfortable as possible.
HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN GO OUT ?
You can go out immediately, it's just a matter of how comfortable you're feeling. With brows, they will look a little darker the first few days to a week and then lighter after they've healed, but aside from that, they look great. With eyeliner, there's a little swelling the day of the procedure and maybe still a little the next day, ice is recommended.
Lips experience a little more swelling, also recommending ice for a day or two. They'll look very bright with color and fuller (due to swelling) for the first few days. After they've healed, the final color will be soft and natural.
